About the Department

  • Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been successfully functioning since 2005. The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started in the year 2005 with an intake of 60 students.
  • The Strength and uniqueness of the department stems from its devoted and keen faculty who work enthusiastically to achieve excellence.
  • The Master degree course in Power Electronics and Drives was started in the academic year 2011-2012.
  • The department has been recognized as a research centre in the year 2018.
  • The department has well equipped laboratory facilities supported by experienced and well qualified faculty members who witnessed the tremendous growth in academics and research. 
  • We have undergraduate programs – B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering also has postgraduate programs – M.E in Power Electronics and Drives provides students with a broad range of choices.

  • Apply the fundamental knowledge of mathematics, science, electrical and electronics engineering to analyze and solve the complex problems in electrical, electronics and allied interdisciplinary areas.
  • Understand and apply core domain knowledge of electrical engineering to analyze and solve complex engineering problems of machines, control systems, electronics and power systems.
  • Create conducive environment to develop professionalism, entrepreneurial skills and leadership qualities with ethics.

  • PEO 1: Core Competence   Graduates will be competent to design, develop and solve Engineering problems and shall have expertise in programming tools

Program Outcomes (POs)

  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  • Problem Analysis:  Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering sciences.
  • Design/ Development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
  • Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  • Modern tool usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
